The Worxshop Update

WorxShop Update

A new season brings some inevitable changes, and just like ever-changingĀ MTB tire standards *cough* plus-size *cough* šŸ˜‰ …we’re adapting to SpringtimeĀ bumps and berms like a well-tuned fork!

After 2 years of fantastic service at the helm of our Worxshop, Dylan Evans has certainly made his mark as a top-tier mechanic within the Kwazulu-Natal cycling fraternity. We pride ourselves on our high level of craftsmanship and bike service, and we have that reputation thanks in no small part to Dylan’s work. Dylan has decided to take up a new challenge in his career, and Chainworx would like to wish him all the very best for the future! Chapeau Mr.Evans, it’s been a honour to work with you!

WorxShop Handover

Taking the reigns as Head Worxshop Mechanic, master of wrenches, nuts, bolts and allen-keys, as well as helping continue our reputation as the premium build & service centre for all things pedal-powered, we’d like to welcome Sean Merredew to the Chainworx team! Sean has a reputation as one of the most reliable and knowledgable mechanics in South Africa. His ninja-like spanner skills are backed up by an impressive palmarĆØs.

Growing up in Richards Bay, Sean has been active in the cycling industry his whole life, racing for the best part of two decades in everything from triathlons to the Absa Cape Epic! After working as the head guru of Zululand cycles for 5 years, Sean took a much needed hiatus away from the workshop, but his passion has brought him back to where he is happiest.
